ASA Midwest Council announces 2013-14 officers and board

Words: Jennifer BaiceanuThe American Subcontractors Association (ASA) Midwest Council recently elected its officers and board of directors for 2013-14.

Vincent Irwin, controller at Irwin Products Inc., was elected as 2013-14 association president. Irwin succeeds Steve Giacin of Kaiser Electric, and will serve a one-year term which began July 1 and will expire June 30, 2014.

Irwin, who has been a member of ASA since 2004, said as president he will strive to increase the value of the association to its members through legislative efforts and educational programming.

“I also want to remain focused on fostering strong relationships with the general contractors in the St. Louis area,” Irwin said. “ASA-Midwest Council has a great reputation nationally, and I want to increase awareness in the local construction community so that more people recognize the value our association offers to the St. Louis construction industry.”

Robert Trask, president of Parkway Construction Services, was elected to serve a one-year term as vice president. Kevin Douglas of Freeman Contracting will serve a one-year term as secretary and Mark O’Donnell of O’Donnell, Bonebrake & Co will serve as the association’s treasurer for a three-year term.

Members of the 2013-14 board of directors include Tom Lee, Duct Systems Inc.; Don Aulph, D & J Glass & Sign; Chris O’Hagan, J.D. Kutter Insurance Associates; Amy Heeger, AME Constructors Inc.; and Rick Williams, K & K Supply.
