ASTM C 12 Committee Celebrates 75th Anniversary

This year is the 75th anniversary for Committee C 12 of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Mortars and Grouts for Unit Masonry.

On Wednesday evening, Dec. 6, C 12 will celebrate with a dinner and reception at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. A full program is anticipated. Current members are reviewing minutes from the 1930s to the present to look at important standards developed and other significant accomplishments. Past honorary members are being contacted to participate in the celebration. C 12 is also extending an invitation to members of C 1 (Cement), C 7 (Lime), and C 15 (Manufactured Masonry Units).

The fall meeting of C 12 is set for Dec. 5-7, 2006.

For more information about the meeting or the event, contact ASTM's C 12 Staff Manager, Kevin Shanahan, at (610) 832-9737, kshanaha@astm.org, or by visiting www.astm.org.
