Southwest Regional Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition

Words: Jerry AnkenyLaguna Crane Services and B-C Equipment Sales will hold the Southwest Regional Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition on April 23, 2015 in conjunction with Buccaneer Days, which is designed to provide South Texas with entertainment and educational opportunities.

The community event includes PRCA rodeo events, a festival and parades. It draws visitors from all over South Texas. PRCA Cowboys and Texas and USA Rodeo Queens will make an appearance at the Southwest Regional Crane Operator & Rigger Skills Competition. Crane operators and crane owners will be treated to lunch the day of the skills competition. Vendors representing rigging suppliers and crane manufacturers will also be in attendance.

Laguna Crane Services offers crane and rigging training, inspections, service and repair. The company’s training courses are offered on the customer’s site or at Laguna’s training facility, and includes certification prep training. For service and repair, its technicians have been factory trained on Manitowoc, Demag, Link-Belt, Grove, American and other brands, as well as LMI crane systems. In addition, technicians have experience with overhead cranes and aerial work platforms.

B-C Equipment is a Link-Belt, Terex, and Shuttlelift crane dealer offering a full line of new and used construction equipment for sale, as well as crane rentals, including ATs and RTs.
