Kaman Industrial Technologies Appoints Theodore M. Clayton to Head Energy and Power Management Programs

Words: David AbelKaman Industrial Technologies Corporation announced the appointment of Theodore (Ted) M. Clayton as Marketing Manager, Energy and Power Management Services reporting to David Mayer, Vice President, Marketing. Ted will oversee the company’s sales and marketing functions in the dynamic energy management field.

Ted will implement programs that will deliver long-term savings to customers by driving higher levels of efficiencies. He will work with customers to identify areas where implementing an energy management strategy makes sense. Working with plant management and energy/sustainability managers to leverage system efficiencies, we expect to add value to the entire production process. Ted will also be responsible for working with customers on environmental stewardship and sustainability programs helping them to conserve natural resources while documenting savings.

Our customers are aware of the need to better manage their energy and natural resources to help reduce operating costs. Kaman recognizes this need and by appointing a dedicated energy management expert we are responding to the voice of the customer.”

Ted brings over 20 years of experience in engineered and applied product sales and marketing with an emphasis on value-based solutions. Prior to his employment with Kaman Industrial Technologies, Ted worked at GE Power Systems in the power generation market and Kadant AES (formerly Albany International) in the pulp and paper industry in a variety of roles involved in implementing engineered solutions to increase operating efficiencies. Ted’s experience working at all levels of customer organizations allows him to define economic value and frame technical solutions that bring meaningful cost reductions in an area of prime importance to Kaman’s customers.
