Manitou Americas, Inc., West Bend, Wis., has combined sales, service, and marketing-support teams with Manitou Forklifts Canada in order to provide an outstanding sales and support for the Manitou brand and its extensive network of Canadian dealers.

The new support structure will benefit the Canadian market with:
Dedicated field sales and service support
  • Dedicated dealer service
  • A sales call center in North America
  • Better parts availability from a North American warehouse
  • Faster machine delivery, thanks to North American manufacturing and inventory
Manitou says that combining Manitou Forklifts Canada’s industry knowledge with Manitou Americas’ sales, marketing, and after-sale support teams will give Canadian customers stronger local support.

Under the new structure, two field sales and service teams, each specializing in sales, service, and training, will support Eastern and Western Canada with dedicated dealer development and assistance.

In addition to increasing its support for sales and service, Manitou Americas also provides enhanced technological support for the Manitou brand and its dealers. A web-based dealer information center provides detailed business information to authorized Manitou dealers anytime. That increases the level of support that Manitou dealers can provide to equipment owners.

Manitou Americas says it is also focused on providing the right products for the Canadian market: semi-industrial forklifts, rough-terrain masted forklifts, agricultural and multi-purpose telescopic handlers, construction telescopic handlers, high-capacity telescopic handlers, rotating telescopic handlers, and truck-mounted forklifts.

Manitou’s Canadian dealer network currently has more than 60 locations. The company says its goal is to provide expanded support that will help dealers and customers grow their businesses for years to come.
