JLG Industries, Inc. will unveil its full line of access equipment at the M&T Expo 2012.
JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and worldwide equipment manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, will unveil its full line of access equipment–including the 3248RS electric scissor lift and LiftPod® FS80 personal portable lift–at the M&T Expo 2012, May 29 - June 2, at the Imigrantes Pavilion in Sao Paulo, Brazil. JLG will display its equipment at External Area, Street S18.

"JLG's innovative products improve safety, efficiency and productivity in a diverse range of applications around the world," said Tim Morris, senior vice president of sales, market development and customer support-Americas, JLG Industries Inc. "We're thrilled to continue our outreach to the Latin America region, demonstrating our state-of-the-art products as well as our enhanced customer service and support."

Morris noted that JLG has made a significant investment in Latin America over the past couple of years, including doubling its workforce and carrying more than $3 million worth of parts inventory in its enhanced aftermarket facility. This investment illustrates JLG's overall commitment to the region, its customers and its business objectives.

While JLG will display its full range of equipment at the M&T Expo, the company will focus on two products that have tremendous potential in the Latin American market:
  • With a platform height of 32 feet and a capacity of 705 pounds, the 3248RS features passive pothole protection that reduces repair and maintenance costs and direct-drive motors that deliver industry-leading duty cycles that boost productivity. It has the ability to traverse grades of up to 25 percent, and the lift provides automatic traction control for superior maneuverability. Fold-down guardrails on the 3248RS enable access through standard double doorways or under low obstruction.

  • The LiftPod FS80 is a portable, productive and affordable alternative to ladders, rolling ladders and scaffolding. The lift has a working height of 14 feet and a standing height of 8 feet. Consisting of just three components, it can be assembled in just 30 seconds.
"The 3248RS and LiftPod FS80 -- like all JLG products – boost efficiency, safety and productivity on a variety of jobsites," Morris said. "At the same time, they give our customers a competitive advantage and help them grow their businesses."

The M&T Expo 2012 includes the 8th International Exhibition of Construction Equipment and 6th International Exhibition of Mining Equipment. The tradeshow was started by a group of Brazilian engineers to promote technological development in Brazil. In 2009, more than 47,000 people from 65 countries attended the show.
